1. Dum Aloo Curry
Traditional of the Kashmiri Pandit cuisine, this Indian potato dish is the perfect choice for vegetarians. Celebrated for being creamy, flavourful, and delicious, Dum Aloo Curry is the perfect meal for a cosy night in. One of the most popular dishes among families in India, this recipe is typically made using small potatoes, which are deep-fried before simmering at low heat in a blend of spices.

2. Behdgi Murgh
Hailing from Northern India, Behdgi Murgh is a delicious chicken dish, characterised for being juicy and bursting with spices. The chicken breast is first marinated in yoghurt, lemon juice, and spices for a tangy punch, before being served with rice for the perfect evening meal.
3. Chicken Chettinad
Originating from the southern Indian state of Tamil Nadu, this chicken dish uses yogurt, turmeric, and red chilies – as well as a number of other spices – to create its signature creamy taste. Incredibly popular in many restaurants, Chicken Chettinad has long been used to inspire a number of more contemporary Indian-style dishes, and is known as one of Southern India’s most traditional recipes.
4. Rajasthani Laal Mass
Originating from Northern India, Laal Maas is a traditional Rajasthani spicy lamb curry made with a fragrant spice mix teamed with yoghurt, garlic, and dry red chillies. This recipe’s exotic, unique flavour is not easily found in British restaurants; in fact, it is usually served to celebrate special occasions throughout India. This dish is best served with rice and traditional Naan bread.
