Fincas Valdemacuco Roble, Ribera del Duero

Producer

Fincas Valdemacuco is the first foray outside Rioja for Bodegas Valdemar. This Rioja producer was established in 1889, and have poured over a century of experience into this new venture from Spain’s other great Tempranillo-producing region.

Vineyard

The grapes come from selected vineyards in the Nava de Roa district near the Duero river itself. The soil is sandy loam with a little gravel. The grapes were harvested by hand.

Winery

The wine was fermented using wild yeast and aged for five months in a mixture of French and American oak barrels, before bottling.
